BUFFALO Jack Johnson Jersey Womens , N.Y. (AP) Rasmus Dahlin wasn’t kidding about how hockey has become his sole obsession. No more than an hour after completing his introductory news conference in Buffalo on Monday, the NHL’s No. 1 overall draft pick had already changed into a yellow Sabres practice uniform and, with stick in hand, was on his way to hit the ice with a number of fellow prospects. Finally, after a monthlong pre-draft process of interviews, testing and cross-country travel that culminated in hearing his name called first from the podium in Dallas on Friday, Dahlin was back in his element.”I used to play some golf and hang out with friends, but, yeah, I love to play hockey and that’s my 100 percent thing I usually do,” the 18-year-old Swedish defenseman said. ”I’m a pretty boring guy.”Off the ice, maybe. On the ice, Dahlin is considered anything but boring with a heads-up Brett Howden Jersey Womens , smooth-skating and play-making style that has already drawn comparisons to elite Swedish defensemen such as Ottawa Senators captain Erik Karlsson and former Detroit Red Wings star Nicklas Lidstrom. In Buffalo, he’s already captured the imagination of a win-starved base of fans, many of whom started submitting orders for Dahlin’s No. 26 Sabres jersey moments after he formally pulled one on to close the news conference. And yet, amid the buzz Dahlin has generated since the Sabres won the NHL draft lottery in April, it’s unrealistic to presume one player alone can turn around a franchise that has finished last in three of the past five years, not made the playoffs since 2011 and not won a playoff series since 2007.”I don’t actually think that way,” Dahlin said of whether he feels the weight of expectations on his 6-foot-2, 181-pound frame. ”I’ll bring everything I can to this team and, yeah, try to win hockey games. That’s what I think about.”General manager Jason Botterill was quick to interject once Dahlin completed his answer.”He doesn’t need to be the savior,” Botterill said, before listing the talented young group of players already on Buffalo’s roster, including forward Jack Eichel.”Look Paul Carey Jersey Womens , we certainly have to have better results on the ice,” he said. ”But we’re certainly excited to bring Rasmus into our core group here and how they can grow together.”On a day dedicated to Dahlin, Botterill struck an upbeat tone in steering away most questions that featured any hint of negativity.Concerns still abound for Botterill entering his second summer on the job.The Sabres have no established depth in goal after last week’s decision to not re-sign third-year starter Robin Lehner.Offense remains an issue on a team that’s not had a player score 30 goals or 70 points since Jason Pominville in 2011-12, during his first stint in Buffalo.Their payroll structure is out of balance for a losing team, with six players set to make a base salary of $5 million or more, including Eichel, whose eight-year, $80 million contract kicks in this season.Culture remains a question after center Ryan O’Reilly suggested the team adopted a losing mindset last season.Rather than worry how a gloomy culture might affect newcomers such as Dahlin, Botterill is counting on Buffalo’s youngsters to begin changing the atmosphere.”We’re not expecting them to lead the room, but we’re expecting them to bring their positive attributes, their competitiveness to that group,” Botterill said.”It’s what we challenged our players at the end of the season. They had to change how they trained. They had to change how they approach the games,” he added. ”The beauty of the National Hockey League is that you can make adjustments Chris Tierney Jersey Womens , you can make jumps in the standings fairly quickly.”Botterill chuckled when Dahlin said he was already looking forward to playing Buffalo’s cross-border rival Toronto next season.”The question was asked to me before about changing the culture, changing our results on the ice,” Botterill said. ”That’s what we need to bring, players who are very competitive, who want to make a difference.”NOTES: The Sabres will open a four-day rookie development camp Wednesday. … Botterill says the Sabres won’t buy out the final year of Matt Moulson’s contract, but adds the veteran forward won’t play in Buffalo. Moulson spent most of last season on loan to AHL Ontario.— COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) The Columbus Blue Jackets rallied from a three-goal deficit to beat Detroit in overtime and move within a point of clinching a playoff spot with two games left.Artemi Panarin put back his own rebound late in the game to tie it, setting up Pierre-Luc Dubois‘ shot from the slot 2:55 into the extra period for a 5-4 win over the Red Wings before a raucous sellout crowd Tuesday night.Columbus is one point or a loss by Florida shy of clinching at least a wild-card spot. The Panthers beat Nashville 2-1 on Tuesday night.”I think it says a lot when you’re able to come back like that and keep playing,” Dubois said after overcoming a 4-1 deficit. ”I think we (hit) five or six posts in the first two periods. We’re really confident now, and we want to keep it going.”The Blue Jackets are trying to get to the playoffs in consecutive years for the first time in franchise history, and for most of the game it looked as if Detroit would put a crimp in their plans.”It’s a resilient group that we have, and we’re never out of the fight,” said forward Cam Atkinson Tyson Barrie Jersey , who scored twice for Columbus.Sonny Milano also had a goal for the Blue Jackets, who have won 13 of 15. Bertuzzi got his second of the evening late in the period on a power play, beating Bobrovsky on a rush.Nyquist gave Detroit a three-goal edge on a power play just 31 seconds into the second period.Atkinson pulled it to 4-2 later in the period on a power play when he scored from the right circle as Alexander Wennberg screened out Howard. Detroit wanted goalie interference but didn’t the call. Milano poked in a loose puck from the doorstep to make it 4-3 midway through the third, and then Panarin tied it with 2:16 left in regulation.”They got a couple there and you could see the crowd got them into it,” Bertuzzi said. ”They gained momentum from that, and we just got away from what we were doing right.”NOTES: Columbus D Zach Werenski left the ice in the second period after taking a puck to the back of the head blocking a shot from Andreas Athanasiou. It was a great effort by everyone.”Alex DeBrincat and Marcus Kruger also scored for Chicago, which earned a point for the sixth time in seven games (4-1-2).Zach Werenski scored for Columbus and Sergei Bobrovsky finished with 22 saves. With the score tied 1-1, the Blue Jackets appeared to take the lead late in the first period when Boone Jenner forced the puck low past Crawford on the left side, but the goal was waved off for pushing the goalie into the net.Kruger put the Blackhawks ahead for good when he tipped a wrister from Alexander Fortin past Bobrovsky at 7:43 of the third.“I thought we played a really good hockey game Custom Arizona Coyotes Jerseys , our best of the year,” Blue Jackets coach John Tortorella said. “We just lost our patience the last five minutes.”Kane then got his sixth goal of the season from the middle of the left circle with 4:14 left, after a costly turnover in the neutral zone by Columbus’ Cam Atkinson.Kane’s empty netter with 1:37 remaining capped the scoring. The Blackhawks got on the board at 3:48 of the first period with their first shot of the game, as DeBrincat buried a pass from Dominik Kahun from the front of the net. We played a pretty good hockey game. We just have to be hungry around the net.”NOTES: Kane and DeBrincat are now tied for the Blackhawks’ lead in goals (7) and points (11). … Brandon Davidson, a veteran of 152 NHL games with Edmonton, Montreal and New York Islanders, made his Blackhawks debut. …. VANCOUVER, B.C. — Ken Hitchcock is supposed to be retired, but the Edmonton Oilers are glad he isn’t.The Oilers (18-12-3) are enjoying a resurgence under Hitchcock as they get ready to visit the Vancouver Canucks (15-16-4) on Sunday. Edmonton is 8-1-1 in its past 10 games and has gone 9-2-2 since Hitchcock came out of retirement and replaced the fired Todd McLellan last month.Three other teams that made early-season coaching changes wish they could say the same. The Los Angeles Kings, Chicago Blackhawks and St. Louis Blues are sporting losing records under their new bench bosses.Article continues below ...But Hitchcock is not claiming to be a miracle worker. He credits McLellan for laying a solid foundation.“A lot of the work was done by (McLellan) and his staff,” Hitchcock www.officialbruinsproonline.com , 66, told reporters. “We’re part of the same coaching tree. Todd, (Calgary coach) Bill Peters, (Toronto’s) Mike Babcock, myself. So the terminology was easy… and then I do what I do. It’s just concepts, it’s not Xs and Os. A lot of concepts (were), quite frankly, in place. … I didn’t have to touch anything.”Hitchcock entered retirement — for the second time — following the 2017-18 NHL season after lasting only one forgettable campaign in his second go-round with the Dallas Stars, the team that he coached to a Stanley Cup title in 1998-99. He was fired by St. Louis before the end of the 2016-17 season, which was supposed to be his last before retirement. The Edmonton native is enjoying good times with his hometown team after succeeding at the NHL, international and junior levels. But he claims not to be offering a new voice to the Oilers.“I think it’s the same stuff, but a different approach,” he said during his session with reporters. “I’ve learned over time that the pre-game preparation is one of the most overrated things in our sport – because you’re saying the same things over and over again. But post-game preparation is not. It’s really important. And, how you move the train along the tracks is all in your post-game review.”Alex Chiasson has gotten back on track with Edmonton. He fired home his 14th goal of the season — a single-season career high — in his 27th game as the Oilers beat the Philadelphia Flyers 4-1 on Friday in the Alberta capital. Chiasson needed 79 games in his 2013-14 with Dallas to record his previous career high.He was essentially unwanted after helping Washington win its first Stanley Cup last season – and only obtained a contract from the Oilers after making good on a professional tryout offer.“When you win a Cup Boston Bruins T-Shirts Authentic , it is a little surprising he didn’t have a deal or nothing,” Oilers captain Connor McDavid told reporters. “He came in on a PTO and worked hard and earned a job and has been having a great year. I couldn’t be happier for him.”While Chiasson helps the Oilers with their renaissance, Josh Leivo is rejuvenating his career with the Canucks, who have won four of their past five games. Leivo scored in Vancouver’s 5-1 win over the Flyers on Saturday night. He now has three goals and an assist in six games with the Canucks following his trade from Toronto on Dec. 3.“It’s a young group of guys, very light and fun in the room. So that was easy to come into,” Leivo told reporters Saturday morning. “And on the ice, everyone looks like they want to win.”Leivo, 25, became expendable in Toronto after the Maple Leafs re-signed holdout winger William Nylander. The Canucks sent prospect Michael Carcone to Toronto in return. After struggling to stay in the Leafs’ lineup, Leivo is now skating regularly on Vancouver’s first line with rookie sensation Elias Pettersson and sophomore sniper Brock Boeser.“We’re putting (Leivo) in a spot that we hope he can succeed in,” Canucks coach Travis Green told reporters. “It’s a pretty good opportunity when you’re playing with (Pettersson) and (Boeser). That’s a spot that I think a lot of people in the NHL would love to have.”So far, Leivo is earning it.

WASHINGTON (AP) All it took was a failed clear Minnesota Wild T-Shirts Womens , a few passes and a one-timer for the Washington Capitals to earn a big win and hand the Dallas Stars a devastating loss.John Carlson’s winner with five minutes remaining gave Washington a 4-3 victory on Tuesday night to extend its lead atop the tight Metropolitan Division to four points. As important as it was for the Capitals, the stinging regulation defeat was a dagger to the Stars’ fading playoff hopes.Dallas finished its hellacious road trip 0-4-2 and sits outside the final playoff position in the Western Conference. It could need 14 of a possible 16 points before the end of the season to get in.”It’s a tough one, and we know that there’s nothing you can do about it,” Stars winger Alexander Radulov said. ”We’re still in the battle. We’re still believing, and there’s still lots of hockey left.”There isn’t that much hockey left, and the Capitals are atop the Metropolitan, four points up on the Pittsburgh Penguins and Columbus Blue Jackets thanks to Carlson’s goal that tied him with the Stars’ John Klingberg at 61 points, the most among NHL defensemen. Carlson scored after Dallas goaltender Kari Lehtonen gave the puck away when he tried to clear the zone and came on a shot his team needed him to stop with the season almost on the line.Lehtonen allowed four goals on 32 shots on a night in which top players Tyler Seguin, Jamie Benn and Radulov scored and Dallas didn’t get much else from its supporting cast.”We have to have more people join the fight,” coach Ken Hitchcock said. ”I know you win and lose as a team, but we have to get more people contributing either from a work standpoint or from a contribution standpoint because we can’t have these same guys do it every night, night-in, night-out and not have more people fall in place here.”Things seem to be falling into place for Capitals goaltender Braden Holtby Chris Terry Jersey Womens , who stopped 24 of 27 shots in his second consecutive victory after a month of struggles and a chance to reset his game. Unlike the Stars, Washington got offense from many places: T.J. Oshie, Matt Niskanen, Alex Ovechkin’s NHL-leading 44th of the season and then Carlson when it mattered most.Radek Faksa, who took one of the penalties that made it 4-on-4 before Carlson’s goal, stared at the score sheet in the locker room with his gear still on. Not keeping pace in the Western Conference race hurt the Stars, and it was painfully obvious.”We just needed to get to overtime,” Seguin said. ”We needed to at least get one point. We didn’t do it.”The Capitals did one better. With the Blue Jackets on a nine-game winning streak and the Penguins always a threat, losing in regulation would’ve significantly damaged the Capitals’ chances at a third consecutive division title.”These are big points now,” said Carlson, who’s goal with 4:59 left was his 15th of the year. ”Everyone can see how tight the race is and everybody kind of jockeying for position. You’ve got to collect them when you can and I think we had a good game tonight, so that’s the most positive.”The Stars can only grasp at positives. They’ve lost 12 of their past 16 games and are crumbling with goalie Ben Bishop and others injured. As much as Hitchcock believes his team should take a ”Who cares?” approach to injuries, they’re taking a toll along with some shoddy play all over the ice.”There’s injuries; we have guys banged up Nick Foligno Jersey ,” Seguin said. ”So does every other team. I don’t think that’s an excuse. I don’t think being tired is an excuse. Right now that’s more of a mindset than anything. It’s playoff hockey right now for us. It has been for a little while. We’ve got to go home and salvage some points.”NOTES: Capitals C Lars Eller was benched for more than eight minutes after his giveaway that led to Benn’s goal. … Capitals D Brooks Orpik returned after missing one game with a lower-body injury. C Evgeny Kuznetsov missed his second consecutive game with an upper-body injury. … Stars D Marc Methot missed his fourth game in a row with a hand injury, while RW Brett Ritchie (lower body) and C Jason Spezza (back) were also out. … Bishop is expected to miss at least two weeks with a left knee injury, and Lehtonen could be counted on to start the remaining eight games.UP NEXTStars: Return home to face the Boston Bruins on Friday.Capitals: Visit the Detroit Red Wings on Thursday.— BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) See ya, Sid. Hello, Jack Eichel.Once the shock of being traded wore off, Conor Sheary put aside his past of playing alongside Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby, and began eagerly looking ahead to what might be in store with the Buffalo Sabres.”I wasn’t expecting it, but at the same time you have to look at the positives,” Sheary said Thursday, a day after the Buffalo gave up a conditional fourth-round draft pick to acquire him and defenseman Matt Hunwick.”I have to put my Pittsburgh years behind me now,” the third-year NHL forward said. ”I’m super excited with the new chapter in my life.”In Buffalo, Sheary gets the opportunity to recreate his role as a play-making Authentic Oliver Bjorkstrand Jersey , two-way forward on a line centered by Eichel.”When you’re playing with a guy like that, you kind of try to get him the puck as much as you can,” Sheary said.”I think a big part of my game is creating turnovers and getting chances for my linemates,” he added. ”Hopefully, we can create some chemistry there. It’ll be awesome and maybe we’ll grow something with that.”With two years left on his contract, Sheary was the odd-man out in Pittsburgh, which freed up $5.25 million in salary cap space in trading both players. The Penguins quickly used some of the savings to re-sign forward Riley Sheahan to a $2.1 million, one-year contract. The Sabres, by comparison, lack play-making depth at their top-line wing positions, especially after trading Evander Kane to San Jose in February. Buffalo’s top three centers and Kane accounted for scoring 94 of the team’s league-worst 199 goals last season.Five-on-five production was also an issue cited by general manager Jason Botterill as the reason he acquired Sheary. All but eight of Sheary’s 95 points in 184 career games have come in even-strength situations.Another benefit for the rebuilding Sabres was adding a two-time Stanley Cup winner to a team that has finished last in three of the past five seasons.”I think if I can just bring a little of that playoff experience to the locker room and try to change the culture, that’ll be a good thing,” said Sheary Ryan Murray Jersey , who credited Crosby for being a mentor. ”He definitely taught me a lot. And I’ll definitely take that and use that to my advantage moving forward.”Botterill previously served as the Penguins assistant GM and had a hand in signing Sheary, who was a late bloomer in part because scouts considered him too small at 5-foot-8 and 175 pounds. Undrafted after completing his college career at UMass, he signed an amateur tryout contract with the Penguins’ AHL affiliate in March 2014.Two year later, Sheary made his NHL debut and eventually scored six goals, including a winner, and 10 points during Pittsburgh’s first of two championship runs. After scoring 23 goals and 53 points in 61 games in 2016-17, Sheary’s production dropped last year, when he finished with 18 goals and 30 points in 79 games.Sheary blamed the drop-off on a lapse in confidence that lead to a midseason slump in which he had three goals and six assists in 35 games. He closed the year with six goals and two assists in his final 15 games.”I think toward the end of the year I finally found myself again,” he said. ”Although I didn’t score in the playoffs, I felt as though I was contributing. Hopefully, I can build on that going forward.”—

Terrelle Pryor knows he's getting closer — little by little — to being fully healthy again. Staying patient http://www.authenticswashingtonredskins.com/cheap-deshazor-everett-jersey , however, has been his biggest challenge. The New York Jets wide receiver is coming off offseason ankle surgery and has been gradually getting more time on the field during training camp. Pryor participated in about 10 snaps in team drills Thursday and ran eight routes. That's progress. Slowly but surely."I'm not there (yet)," Pryor said. "I talk to my teammates and I tell them all the time, it feels like I'm almost there but then I don't have that just (snaps finger) yet, and it's like, yeah, I get it and it's going to take a couple of weeks. I'll get there. I feel pretty good, though."

Pryor, who turned 29 in June, couldn't practice during organized team activities or minicamp after having arthroscopic surgery on his right ankle with a different injury from the one that shut him down with the Redskins last season. He was in a walking boot until the second day of minicamp, so just being able to run now in 11-on-11 drills is an encouraging sign."Some days, you get sore sometimes, but for the most part they have it under control — I have it under control," Pryor said. "It feels good. I've just got to continue the progression and believing."It's uncertain if Pryor, the former Ohio State quarterback who's still developing as a wide receiver will be a full go by the time the Jets play their preseason opener against Atlanta on Aug. 10.There's no need to rush things at this point, not when he played hurt for most of last season with Washington before being shut down."It's early on, just the second week into camp, fifth or sixth practice," he said. "I've just got to understand that and keep that perspective. Once I get out there and I start catching more balls and getting targets and stuff like that Youth Jonathan Allen Jersey , I'll get my confidence. Everybody needs a confidence boost, in terms of that."So I've got to continue to do that and continue to show the quarterbacks I can get open and I think I'll keep on growing in confidence from that."Pryor signed a one-year, $6 million contract with Washington last season and was expected to be a major part of the Redskins' offense after leading Cleveland in receptions, yards receiving, TD catches, yards per game and yards per catch in 2016. But he tore the deltoid ligament in his ankle in Week 1 and tried to play through the pain.He opted for season-ending surgery after nine games and just 20 catches for 240 yards and one touchdown. His lone season in Washington was a bust, and the Redskins allowed him to become a free agent.Pryor signed a one-year deal worth $4.5 million with the Jets in March, and joined a wide receiver corps that includes Jermaine Kearse, Robby Anderson and Quincy Enunwa."Obviously, he's a big guy, but he can really run and stretch the field," quarterback Josh McCown said of the 6-foot-4, 228-pound Pryor. "For him, when they made that transition the last year I was there in Cleveland and made the transition to receiver, and in every year he has gotten better and better. It's been a work in progress, but we're glad to have him and he has put a lot of work in."The Jets will travel to Richmond, Virginia, for joint practices with the Redskins from Aug. 12-14 before the teams' preseason game Aug. 16. That matchup provides a bit of a juicy matchup with Pryor going up against his former teammates. In June, Redskins linebacker Zach Brown said Washington's defense "will have it out" for Pryor, who apparently rubbed his teammates the wrong way with the way he went about things in practice."Try to one-hand something while you're with the Jets http://www.authenticswashingtonredskins.com/cheap-dustin-hopkins-jersey ," Brown said, "you're going to catch a forearm."During minicamp, Pryor brushed off the comments. This time around, the Jets receiver was a bit more expansive — and direct."We're there to practice and get better," Pryor said. "If I wanted to put my shoulder down and hit one of them and be chippy, too, I'm sure I could do that. But that's not why we're there. We're there to get better."If they take dirty shots, I'm sure we'll handle that accordingly."Pryor added that he didn't want to "individualize myself" by talking about potential beef between him and the Redskins."It's about us going there and getting better day by day," he said, "like we're trying to do here."NOTES: WR Quincy Enunwa sat out for the second straight day with what Bowles said was "sore" right hand. ... "It was a lot of things for us today. I missed some guys when they were open, and it seems to me we had a lot of tipped balls."Well, seems as if both sides of the ball have a lot to work on this week before the Kansas City Chiefs come to Denver next Monday night for an AFC West showdown."We made too many mistakes and had too many penalties," Miller lamented. "When we practice, we don't have all those penalties. We have to clean that up." Dean Pees' retirement from his old job as defensive coordinator with the Baltimore Ravens sure didn't last very long. Not with Mike Vrabel pouncing on the chance to lure his former coach to work with him in Tennessee. Now the NFL schedule is giving the defensive coordinator a chance to try and slow down his old team on Sunday."At some point in time when I do conclude my career," Pees said, "it will be to me a unique situation and a unique opportunity I was given to work for two guys that are great coaches and were great players for me, and for me then to kind of give back and the fact that I kind of know them so well. We're on the same page as far as how you do things and that kind of stuff, it all kind of came from the same school."Ravens coach John Harbaugh, who played for Pees at Miami (Ohio), hired his former defensive coordinator in 2010 as linebackers coach before turning over the defense to Pees in 2012 鈥?a year Baltimore won the Super Bowl. Pees held that job through last season before retiring after 45 years as a coach.Vrabel, who played for Pees in New England, called Harbaugh and Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome for permission to talk to the retired Pees once hired as the Titans head coach.Safety Eric Weddle said it was tough to see Pees join the Titans."We were all happy for him Baltimore Ravens Womens Hoodie , because we know how much he loves coaching," Weddle said. "But he's with them now. We appreciate what he did here, but we're doing our thing now, and he's doing his."The Ravens replaced Pees, 69, by promoting Don "Wink" Martindale. Vrabel hired Pees to replace Dick LeBeau in Tennessee."Replacing Dick LeBeau anywhere is not an easy thing to do, and I was very aware of that, but I felt like we needed a change," Vrabel said. "And Dean has been everything that I had hoped for."Both the Ravens (3-2) and Titans (3-2) come into this game off disappointing road losses. Baltimore lost 12-9 in overtime in Cleveland, while the Titans fell 13-12 in Buffalo. After kickoff, friendships are forgotten for at least three hours."Once the game starts, we'll be trying to choke each other out," Harbaugh joked. Some things to know about the Ravens and Titans:DEFENSIVE SHOWDOWNWithout Pees, the Ravens remain just as stingy, leading the NFL in scoring defense and with 34 tackles for loss. The Ravens haven't allowed a touchdown in the second half of a game this season. Baltimore also is third in fewest yards allowed Womens Customized Baltimore Ravens Jerseys , four spots ahead of Pees' Titans, with Tennessee third against the pass, just ahead of Baltimore. Tennessee leads the NFL in red zone defense. The Titans hope to get back veteran linebacker Wesley Woodyard after missing a game with an injured shoulder, while Harbaugh hopes to get back defensive tackle Michael Pierce after missing a game with an injured foot.JACKSON'S JAUNTSDrafted 32nd overall, rookie quarterback Lamar Jackson gives opposing defenses something else to think about when he lines up behind center. The 2016 Heisman Trophy winner ranks fourth on the team with 72 yards rushing and leads Baltimore with an average of 4.5 yards per carry. Jackson ran three times for 10 yards last week and threw an incomplete pass. He's 1 for 5 through the air this season.NEED MORE OFFENSEThe Titans are coming off their second game this season when they couldn't score a touchdown. Luckily, Marcus Mariota and his elbow is off the injury report for the first time since being hurt in the season opener. But the Titans could be missing left tackle Taylor Lewan, who hurt his right foot in Buffalo. Mariota said it's just a matter of execution and the Titans have to get better.HEAVY WORKLOADTerrell Suggs was used for 66 of the 71 total snaps last week against the Browns, no small workload for a 16-year veteran who turned 36 on Thursday. Suggs is Baltimore's career sacks leader with 129, including 3 1/2 this year. A rigorous training regimen has enabled him to maintain a degree of excellence, but Harbaugh acknowledged that 66 plays might be too much.PAYBACK TIMEOdds are good that C.J. Mosley will get a chance to tackle his former Alabama teammate and current Titans running back Derrick Henry at least once, and the Ravens linebacker says he still owes Henry from last year. Henry converted a big third-down late in a Tennessee win with a big stiff arm, breaking loose from Mosley. "I have to make sure that this time I don't let him get a big play," Mosley said.AP Sports Writer Dave Ginsburg contributed to this report.Follow Teresa M. Walker at teresamwalker

McDermott says he's informed Benjamin this is not how he wants his players to air their grievances.McDermott spoke Sunday before the Bills returned to practice following a day off, and two days after Benjamin voiced his criticisms in an interview with The Athletic.Benjamin was quoted as saying getting drafted by the Panthers was "a bad fit from the get-go," when asked to assess his final 2陆 seasons in Carolina. Without mentioning Newton specifically, Benjamin said he could have been more productive with "any other quarterback."He then pinpointed several star quarterbacks Youth Greg Olsen Jersey , including Green Bay's Aaron Rodgers, in saying they had the knowledge and accuracy of placing a pass to a spot that makes it easier for a receiver to catch the ball. The Panthers' first-round pick in 2014, Benjamin set team records for rookies with 73 catches, 1,008 yards receiving and nine touchdowns. He missed the entire 2015 season with a left knee injury Youth Ryan Kalil Jersey , and totaled 95 catches for 1,416 yards and nine touchdowns in his next 24 games before being traded to Buffalo in October.Benjamin previously told The Associated Press he asked to be traded.McDermott said one issue he had with Benjamin's comments is that the Bills open their preseason Thursday hosting Carolina. What makes Benjamin's comments more awkward is McDermott and Bills general manager Brandon Beane previously worked together for the Panthers. McDermott spent six seasons as Carolina's defensive coordinator before being hired by Buffalo in 2017.Beane was the Panthers' assistant general manager, and had a hand in drafting Benjamin.

Traveling on the road on a short week against a division leader is not an ideal situation for the Dolphins to be in Authentic Kenny Stills Jersey , but such is the case, as tomorrow they’ll face off against the first place Houston Texans. One of the ugliest playoff contenders in the NFL, the Texans have somehow shaken off an 0-3 start and have won their last 4 games, granting them sole possession of first place in the sloppy AFC South.A big reason for the Texans’ recent success has been star outside linebacker Jadeveon Clowney. A former first overall pick in the 2014 draft, Clowney has been balling for the last three seasons and is in a contract year with Houston. He currently has 4.5 sacks on the season, 10 quarterback hits, two fumble recoveries, a touchdown, and nine tackles for a loss. Clowney is coming off a big game against the Jaguars, where he had two sacks Authentic Minkah Fitzpatrick Jersey , two tackles for a loss, a fumble recovery, and four quarterback hits. It’s safe to say the Dolphins aren’t safe against this beast of a pass rusher, and Miami need a win in order to stay alive in the AFC Wild Card race. For more on that, let’s break down Clowney’s film from last week against the Jaguars.gamepass.nfl.comClowney’s athleticism is clearly outstanding and it’s mixed in a perfect blend of his intelligence as a pass rusher and versatility. As an outside linebacker he’s capable of blitzing...well...outside, but was also dangerous blitzing elsewhere. It’s no secret Clowney doesn’t respect Blake Bortles, and he shows that here on a blitz straight up the B-gap. He initially looks like he’s gonna cover the middle of the field, and when Bortles drops his head back under center, that’s when Clowney makes his move. He times the snap perfectly, turns on the acceleration and executes a swim move on the left guard Andrew Norwell—who has not been as good as he was in 2017 with the Panthers.Clowney is able to heavily pressure Bortles and force him to make an errant throw.gamepass.nfl.comOn this play http://www.authenticsmiamidolphins.com/cheap-daniel-kilgore-jersey , Clowney again goes up the B-gap, but this time he terrorizes the right guard A.J. Cann. His lighting quick footwork on this play is captivating. Clowney executes a two-step jab and performs a juke move on Cann as he gets his first of two sacks on the day.gamepass.nfl.comClowney’s second sack came against Cody Kessler, who replaced Bortles at QB after Bortles was benched early in the second half. This time, the sack came when Clowney was lined up as an edge rusher. Kessler has no time to react to this as the pressure takes place on his blind side. Clowney gets outside leverage by ducking as the left tackle turns his hips toward the sideline, and uses a sensational bend to make his way to Kessler, who he crushes for a sack he made look all too easy.Along with J.J. Watt, Jadeveon Clowney is a nightmare for an offensive lineman. His combination of quickness, IQ, power, and athleticism have made him a household name as a pass rusher Youth Reshad Jones Jersey , and it’s no wonder he was selected #1 overall when he came into the league. Panthers 2018 season opener countdown: 50 days to go With 50 days remaining until the Panthers kick of their first regular season contest of 2018 Color Rush Taylor Moton Jersey , we take a look at number 50 for the Panthers, linebacker Chris Frey. Chris Frey, LinebackerBioHeight: 6’0”Weight: 225 lbsAge: 23College: Michigan StateNFL Experience: RookieThe Panthers signed Frey as an undrafted free agent at the completion of the 2018 NFL Draft. The Ohio native was a team captain for the Spartans defense during his senior season and was named All Big Ten honorable mention by the media at the end of the year. He finished the campaign with 55 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, and 4 sacks playing as the strong side linebacker. He joins a Panthers linebacking corps already rife with talent and immaculate beards, so it’ll be tough for him to stand out for the coaching. Luke Kuechly, Thomas Davis, and Shaq Thompson are roster locks, and the Panthers invested two draft picks on linebackers that will likely get the benefit of the doubt over Frey. Sunday was a true test of the resolve of the Carolina Panthers coaching staff. A first half onslaught resulted in 35 points for the home team while the defense held the league’s highest grossing offense to just 14. A 21 point halftime lead is typically insurmountable, and the by-the-book approach is often to play it safe and try to grind out the final 30 minutes of the game. It’s what we’ve come to expect out of the Panthers, and it typically results in floundered leads and heart wrenching finishes. Sunday’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers almost went that route Color Rush James Bradberry Jersey , but it wasn’t by design, as is often the case. The Panthers went three and out on their first two drives of the second half, but neither of those drives were of the run-run-run-punt variety. The Panthers attempted to attack the Buccaneers vulnerable secondary through the air. Unfortunately the offensive line couldn’t hold up and gave up back breaking sacks on both drives. On the Panthers third drive of the second half, they reached Buccaneers territory and were eventually faced with a 4th and inches situation. They attempted a sneak, but the play was called back due to a Carolina penalty. Faced with 4th and 5 late in the third quarter, it would have been easy for Ron Rivera to punt and hope that his team could slow down the now surging Buccaneers offense. Instead, he showed the trust he has in this team. He let the offense try to pick up the five yards. They didn’t, but the message was loud and clear. On the other side of the ball, the Buccaneers were able to get into a rhythm and starting churning out yards and reaching pay dirt, but it wasn’t because of ‘prevent defense.’ While there were instances of soft coverage during Sunday’s game, for the most part defensive coordinator Eric Washington was willing to let his players make plays. He called blitzes and had his corners playing press coverage at different times throughout the half. That aggressiveness eventually helped get the Panthers defense off the field late in the fourth quarter with the Buccaneers driving. A sudden rush towards the line of scrimmage by the Panthers linebackers made the Buccaneers offensive line flinch before the snap Youth Kawann Short Jersey , prompting a false start penalty and pushing the offense back to a 3rd and 12 that they couldn’t convert. After the ensuing change of possession, the Panthers offense took the field with 4:52 remaining and a two touchdown lead. Past trends would suggest that this drive would go run, run, run, punt. Actuality would say that the Panthers would come out in the shotgun and attempt to pick up the first down through the air. A Christian McCaffrey run on first down was followed by a completion to Greg Olsen and a pass attempt to D.J. Moore that fell incomplete. The Panthers tried to put the game away right then and there. It didn’t work, but it gave the Panthers a better chance at success than three straight runs would have.Ron Rivera and the rest of the coaching staff are starting to empower their players, and the players are responding with energized performances. Over the last three weeks, the offense is fifth in the league in yards per play and the defense is tenth in yards per play allowed despite playing some high powered offenses. Making bold decisions instills confidence in a team, and recent bold decisions by the Panthers coaching staff have coincided with the Panthers playing with a swagger reminiscent of 2015’s magical season.

The Baltimore Ravens are always within the top ranks of the league in regards to special teams Youth Matt Skura Jersey , and that is in large part because of the guy they have had at kicker for the last six years. Justin Tucker has become a living legend as much for his flamboyant persona as for his ability to bang balls through the uprights with room to spare from just about any position on the field. In Week 3, he received some well deserved recognition for his on-brand performance against the Denver Broncos:The unusually outspoken kicker made sure the Broncos heard from him on Sunday, connecting on all three of his extra points and hitting two field goals, one of which was from 52 yards out. Interestingly enough, an uncharacteristic miss will show up on his stat sheet after Denver safety Justin Simmons blocked one of his attempts on what appeared to be an illegal leap over the line.Regardless of that play, it is great to see Tucker again be honored for his proficiency as a kicker, an especially maligned position around the league this year. Kickers all across the league have had their fair share of struggles, while the flashy Tucker continues to flourish as the best the NFL has to offer between the hashes. He was a surprise snub from the Pro Bowl in 2017, but hopefully he will be able to work his way back to that honor this season. Picking up an award like this one is certainly a good start towards doing so. John Harbaugh has seen Joe Flacco play in more than 170 games for the Ravens, including 15 in the postseason with an MVP effort in the Super Bowl.Though Baltimore's coach is hard-pressed to remember them all http://www.ravenscheapstores.com/brent-urban-jersey-cheap , Harbaugh ranks Flacco's performance against Denver on Sunday among the best.Flacco went 25 for 40 for 277 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions in Baltimore's 27-14 victory . He's put up better numbers during his 11-year career, but this outing stood out because of the fashion in which Flacco zipped the ball short, long and in between."He's had a lot of good throwing days, right? But definitely ... it's in the top category," Harbaugh said Monday. "That's what you'd like to see Joe do. I just think it's a combination of a lot of things, including confidence in the guys that he's throwing to."Harbaugh became Baltimore's head coach in 2008, the same year Flacco entered the NFL. The pair has gone through a lot together, most recently three straight seasons without a playoff appearance. The Ravens (2-1) hope an improved offense will turn things around. It's been a long time since Flacco has had so many capable receivers to choose from. Offseason acquisitions Willie Snead, Michael Crabtree and John Brown have been excellent, and Mark Andrews got into the mix Sunday with 59 yards receiving Cheap Terrell Suggs Jersey , a Ravens record for a rookie tight end."I'm really pleased with all those guys. They're playing really well and they've made big plays," Harbaugh said. With Flacco leading the way, the Ravens went 8 for 16 on third down against a team that stopped 17 of 22 attempts in its first two games."All the receivers have a good chemistry with Joe," Brown said. "It's all about trust, starting with practice and talking with him to see if we're seeing the same thing. That plays a big part of it."The Ravens have long been known for their defense, and that unit has played well. But, at least for now, the offense is doing its part, too. After Denver bolted to a 7-0 lead, Baltimore went the distance on a soothing touchdown drive."That was the tone setter for us as a team Cheap Mark Andrews Jersey , to have them answer for us and really get us back to even," safety Eric Weddle said. "And, once we settled down, shoot, defense played lights out."As did the offense 鈥?again. The Ravens are averaging 32 points per game, and Flacco has completed 82 of 129 passes for 889 yards and six TDs with just two interceptions. Most impressive of all is Baltimore's performance in the red zone: 12 trips, 12 touchdowns, including 3 for 3 against Denver."We've had a good mix. I think we've probably thrown the ball in six times and run the ball in six times," Flacco said. "If you can do both of those things, especially when you get down tight inside the 5-yard line Youth John Brown Jersey , that helps a lot. We've got good playmakers, and we put a lot of pressure on the defense with the guys that we have out there."Give credit to the receivers, along with the running back tandem of Alex Collins and Javorius Allen, but Harbaugh knows the real reason why Baltimore has been unstoppable inside the 20."It probably starts with Joe," Harbaugh said. "I think Joe has done a great job making plays, making throws, trusting his guys and also extending some plays. That's been big."The Ravens escaped the Denver game without any serious injuries, and Harbaugh hopes middle linebacker C.J. Mosley (knee) can return for an AFC North showdown Sunday night with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

After the Ravens’ heartbreaking 12-9 overtime loss to the Browns at FirstEnergy Stadium http://www.ravensfootballauthentics.com/james-hurst-jersey-authentic , most of the criticism has focused on Marty Mornhinweg’s pass-heavy approach. Joe Flacco and Lamar Jackson combined to attempt 57 passes compared to just 25 rushing attempts. Despite the criticism, head coach John Harbaugh does not believe that was much of an issue.“No, I don’t. We ran it [25] times. That’s a lot of times to run it in this league. I mean if you look at numbers around the league, that’s a lot. I don’t feel that way,” Harbaugh stated during his Monday afternoon press conference. “You got to do whatever you can do to move the ball and score points. You know, we have been doing a pretty good job of that up until this last game. We just need to put more points on the board.”The entire NFL has shifted in the direction of having a pass-happy offense, and in fact, Baltimore ranks seventh in total rushing attempts. Many teams are shying away from running the ball http://www.ravensfootballauthentics.com/brent-urban-jersey-authentic , but Harbaugh believes the more significant issue is the lack of efficiency. “This run-pass balance thing, I don’t understand why it is a topic,” Harbaugh said. “We want to run the ball well. We are working as hard as we can to do it. If the question is are you working hard at the run game, yeah we’re working real hard at it. We want to be a really good running team.”Another trend that several teams around the NFL are utilizing is a running back by committee approach. Unlike in previous seasons where teams would have one workhorse running back, they are using multiple running backs throughout the game in different situations. According to the playtime percentages, Alex Collins only received 27 snaps compared to Javorius Allen’s 50. While Collins is still perceived to be the lead back as he led the team in carries with 12, Allen received the lion’s share of snaps. When asked about the snap distribution, Harbaugh suggested it was merely the flow of the game.“That’s the way the game went. I’d like to get De’Lance [Turner] out there a little more. So you want to play your guys. A fresh running back is a good thing. I think running backs taking 40 or 50 snaps is not necessarily a great thing. You talk about balance http://www.ravenscheapstores.com/brandon-williams-jersey-cheap , put the ball in one guy’s hand for 35 plays I don’t know if that’s balance. You need to spread the load,” Harbaugh said. De’Lance Turner was an undrafted free agent running back out of Alcorn State, who was promoted to the 53-man roster after Kenneth Dixon suffered a knee injury in Baltimore’s Week 1 win over the Bills. In the preseason, Turner showed big-play ability as he recorded a 65-yard touchdown against the Dolphins in the Week 3. Whether or not he receives more carries remains to be seen, but Baltimore’s offense has bigger fish to fry. As Harbaugh mentioned during his press conference, the more concerning trend should be Baltimore’s red zone woes. They have scored one touchdown in their last eight trips to the red zone — including a drive consisting of two kneel downs against the Steelers in Week 4 to end the game. The Ravens will have a tough task in Week 6 as they will face a Titans defense that is allowing the fourth-fewest points per game in the first five weeks. Tennessee is also stout in the red zone as they have only allowed three touchdowns on 13 opportunities. Welcome to SB Nation FanPulse — a survey of fans across the NFL, powered by SurveyMonkey.
